Elizabeth
I’m a playwright and a teacher, and I work in Seattle. I was first introduced to Hanford many years ago when I was fishing at the Potholes Reservoir, south of Moses Lake, and I met a whole bunch of people who worked at the site. They told these amazing stories, so I started reading about it. I’ve been interested in any number of aspects, but right now the deep vadoze clean-up and the VIT plant issues are the most profound. I am also concerned about how to educate the public on these issues, in a way where it doesn’t get so technical they shut down, but yet feel they have enough information to feel comfortable taking a stand and making a statement.
