Cameron Salony is a public affairs specialist for the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE). In 2008, Cameron took the chance to leave home for a summer and perform an out-of-state internship at the Hanford Site. After graduation, he joined DOE through a Federal career program which allowed him to perform rotational assignments at Hanford and the Pacific Northwest Site Office in Richland, WA; and at the DOE Office of Congressional and Intergovernmental Affairs in Washington, DC. Cameron’s Hanford interests include Hanford history, the public tour program and the Hanford Speakers Bureau. You can view a video of Cameron’s experience of learning about Hanford here.
Cameron previously was a newspaper writer for The Herald Journal in Logan, Utah. Before that, he was the Regional Public Affairs Coordinator for the Muscular Dystrophy Association for the Salt Lake City, Sacramento, Las Vegas and Reno offices. He graduated from Utah State University with a degree in both Journalism and Communications.
